They say if you find job that you like and love, then you will never work another day in your life, which produces good quotes and there is little truth in them. Not long ago, I was discussing such concept with an acquaintance of mine on the East Coast and he noted his desires and had decided to pursue them, okay for him, I say, everyone must pursue their dreams and if they are dedicated, they might just be there. Okay so let’s talk about this.
I believe that Bill Gates and Warren Buffet told group of students that they should pursue their desires, not just money. Some students don’t listen, but I think most of them. It’s true that we always do better at what we really like to do, this is precisely why I explained to my acquaintances that getting good grades at school is simple, you just have to enjoy the subject, like it, and care about it – it’s good grades will follow.
Just like you have to have the desire for whatever you do in life to be happy, and when you are happy and excited you will do well. It’s true in most all circumstances. My acquaintance did note that there are far too many people who are not happy with their jobs or careers. I agree and too bad for them, thankfully I am not one of them. Still on the flip side to this argument, there is something else to consider.
You know, there are other common problems, that you take something you like to do, hobbies, and turn it into profession, and suddenly it becomes job instead of pleasure, and that you lose passion. That way you destroy something that you love, which is terrible thing.
In fact, I’ve talked to number of artists in our think tank, and they have explained to me that they used to love to do their artwork, but now that they do it for money, they find it more stressful, and they can’t create the things that they love to do, rather they must create the artwork that people will pay for.
So you can see this is an unfortunate trap to have. When it comes to getting good grades, it pays to thoroughly enjoy the subject matter, but when it becomes too much of chore, or too stressful that becomes burden, and then it becomes no fun anymore. great teacher or professor will not allow this to happen, but often they do through their wicked sense of humor, or through the mandated rote memorization style test questions. Indeed I hope you will please consider all this and think on it.
